Vendor Sales outside of Gift Shop

Our gift shop is part of the volunteer program at the local hospital. We work together to maintain not only our gift shop but to host 6 independent vendor sales in a separate area of our hospital.

We currently host vendors who sell linens, purses, books, home goods such as small appliances and cookware. We have worked with Masquerade $5 jewelry vendors as well. We have had some last minute cancelations this year and are seeking ideas of other opportunities.

Does your hospital host these project sales? Who are your vendors? Contact info would be much appreciated.

We are located in eastern North Carolina.

Any input would be great. Thanks.

Hi, Eastern NC! Asheboro NC here. We're under new management but had great luck in the past with uniform sales with our local store. You might want to start there. We no longer have the option to use payroll deduction :( so we're not doing any vendor sales. At the conference in Hilton Head two years ago, someone in Texas (I think) mentioned working with a department store at Christmas. Hopefully you'll get some helpful replies. If you want to reach out directly, I'm at Randolph Health.

We have hosted uniform companies including Scrubs on Wheels and Read's Uniforms. Both have done well.

We host Dillard's, Gold'N Visions, Lone Star Designs and our local scrub store. We do offer payroll deduction.

For those of you who have hosted Nothing Bundt Cakes as a vendor, could you share how this process works?

Do you only accept preorders, or do you order with hopes of selling all the product you order?

Payroll Deduction accepted? How often do you host this vendor? Do they deliver or must you pick up?

    Any information is appreciated.

We host a monthly Nothing Bundt Cake sale through our Gift Shop. They sell them to us at a discounted price, we pick them up and sell them until we run out. We do this on the third Wednesday of each month (today is the day, YUM!). What we enjoy about it is that it brings people into the Gift Shop, and they end up purchasing more than just the cake.
