HI Greg.
We did this same thing about 10 years ago. We held a meeting where the entire auxiliary was invited, with the understanding that this was the topic of discussion. We discussed a few items, asked again if anyone wanted to take over the executive board roles, which no one did and then we took a vote to disband the auxiliary. We did have legal look over things also. A couple of the auxiliary members stayed on as volunteers in different roles. We then formed a volunteer advisory committee. We meet to discuss any issues in the department, upcoming or new fundraisers, and get their approval for donations to our hospital Foundation. I think you are on the right track. I would just hold a vote, so everyone has the opportunity to say their peace and make sure it is well documented, and follow any legal direction.
