Hello, I'm looking for any fresh ideas for projects that volunteers can work on while seated at waiting area placements. Historically, we have had them assemble patient packets, IV kits, and more - but fewer and fewer departments are using packets. Any good ideas?

    TIA,

our local blood bank does a lot of mailers.. i have the volunteers apply the address labels to their mailers.    we also do mailers for our Foundation.   We send the letters letting patients know that they need to add their baby to their insurance within 30 days for medical coverage.  I just have the departments print to our printer and supply the envelopes.. we fold and stuff and put in the mail.

    Hi Jill-

I love this question! Seasons are changing and the volunteers not in the lobby in a conference room or arts/crafts room would put together a Thank you packet.  I hope this helps your thought processes :).  Elizabeth
