Volgistics users: Do you store any volunteer HIPAA information in the volunteers electronic files? For example; vaccinations, TB or titer blood test results?
IF so, did you to work this process through Compliance or  Privacy officers?

We use Volgistics. However, Employee Health manages all of the paperwork and test results for our volunteers. We only have a checklist item for things like TB screen, annual flu vaccines, etc. This allows us to pull a report of those who are missing items or may be due soon. But doesn't show any detailed information.

Volgistics is not HIPAA compliant so saving medical records of any kind is not recommended. Volgistics even states that on their information page.

I also only use the checklist to make sure requirements are met and pull reports. I have a checklist item for initial health screening and one for flu. The date used on the checklist is when my office learned the requirement has been met.

Hi Tricia - This a great question! We have all documentation for the volunteers in volgistics.  if you'd like to reach out to me we can have a tutorial or go to the Tab line select documents and load from your desk top file.  I hope this helps. Thank you again for your question. Elizabeth
