If you have PFAC that meets at your hospital, are they required to be volunteers and go through the same process as a volunteer? In the past, we have had this at NMMC but the people in charge(employees of NMMC) of PFAC want to change this. I would love to get some more ideas on this please. Thanks

    Hi Rhonda,

Yes, our PFAC volunteers and any other volunteers that serve on any advisory council go through our entire volunteer process. The only thing we exempt them from are the CBL's (annual competencies) and that only gets waived if they do not come into the hospital at all. We have an advisory board at our Cancer Center and they meet via Teams so we don't require them to complete the annual education. I hope that helps. Nancy
