create education for nursing units on incorporating volunteers

    Hello,

     Since the pandemic, our organization has hired many new nurses and other clinical staff - many of whom have never worked alongside volunteers. I'm working on education and/or talking points to take to nursing meetings and huddles, to assist with communicating the benefits of having volunteers serve in their units. 

    Does anyone have any talking points or documents to share?

    I use the attached presentation and packet for teens, but it could be used for any type of volunteer.  One year I even had specific virtual training for any department  hosting a teen volunteer, but that got to be too much to manage so I just send out the presentation now.

    Hi! I'm attaching what we send to departments to reinforce how they can welcome, train, and support volunteers in their area. We really rely on someone in each department to help out with the volunteer experience.
